These classes are designed for young dancers aged 2 to 6 years old. These 30-60 minute classes are created with the child’s age, physical and mental capabilities taken into consideration. This enables students to grow and learn at age appropriate levels. This program includes the following classes:
This 30 minute class is designed to enhance your child’s motor, listening, and social skills through song and dance activities. Dancers will be introduced to basic ballet and tap technique. In this class they will learn how to take direction in a classroom setting and follow along with the teacher. At the end of class, children learn to express themselves through creative movement. Tiny Two’s is for children age 2 and is offered on Tuesdays from 5:15-5:45 p.m. and/or Wednesdays from 4:30-5:00 p.m.
This 45 minute class is an introduction to basic dance and motor skills. Class criteria will include ballet, tap, and creative movement. Twinkle Toes is for children age 3 to 4 and is offered:
- Tuesdays from 4:30-5:15 p.m.
- Wednesdays from from 5:00-5:45 p.m.
- Thursdays from 5:30-6:15 p.m.
- Saturdays from 10:30-11:15 a.m.
This 45 minute class introduces the fun dance genres of jazz and musical theatre to young dancers looking for fresh, energetic dance genres. Showstoppers focuses on jazz technique, introduces progressions across the floor and teaches young artists how to emote through movement and facial expressions. Showstoppers is for children ages 4-5 and is offered on Wednesdays from 5:45-6:30 p.m. and/or Saturdays from 11:15 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.
This 60 minute class is a continuation of Twinkle Toes. In addition to ballet and tap technique, tumbling is introduced. Basic tumbling skills such as forward rolls and bridges are taught. Superstars helps prepare students to be ready for individual style classes that they will move into after this level. Superstars is offered on Tuesdays from 5:45-6:45 p.m. and/or Thursdays from 4:30-5:30 p.m. for children ages 5 to 6.
